We had the 8 piece salmon sashimi, Tako sashimi, 2 ikura nigiri, 2 unagi nigiri, and a Philadelphia roll. We also had a hot sake.
The salmon was good. Although we actually like the fatter farm raised salmon, the Atlantic wild salmon still melted in your mouth. Although I personally found the Tako too chewy, B thought it was fine and really liked the taste. He thought it was equal to the Tako sashimi at Kimura.
The Philadelphia roll was good. They mixed the cream cheese with green onions, which made the flavour more complex. The unagi and the ikura were a little disappointing, compared to Kimura. The ikura did not "pop" in your mouth like you would expect (like when I tasted it in Sapporo and discovered my love for it). The unagi also did not melt in your mouth and tastes a little fishy.
Overall, solid sushi, but we'd still prefer Kimura over Toshi - partially for price but mostly because of taste.
Worth visiting if you're in the hood.
