Barbecued Beer and Whiskey Chicken

We bought a dozen drumsticks on Tuesday (sale) so we decided to marinate it two ways: Beer and Whisky.

Beer Marinade
This marinade was inspired by this recipe. We stuck close to the same recipe, except with six drumsticks.

Whisky Marinade
This marinade was inspired by this recipe. We didn't have any pineapple juice, so we didn't use any.

We marinaded both overnight. Then we just popped it on the grill with a pineapple and a carrot.

Barbecuing is so quick and simple.

Due to the fact that I didn't have pineapple juice to add to the whisky marinade, it was a little too salty for me, so I would highly recommend not skipping that step. You could probably add orange juice or some other kind of acid to take the salt away.

The beer one was great, though I kind of wish it was a bit sweeter.
